The orchestra performed Pictures at an Exhibition and after intermission Lang Lang and the orchestra performed Chopin Andante spianato and Grand Polonaise No. 58 and Liszt Concerto No. 1 in E-flat Major. It was a memorable experience!

Lang Lang
Clara and I (Monica) went to see Lang Lang perform with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra (and Clara's violin teacher) tonight. We sat in the third row! Unfortunately, we couldn't see his hands very well, but we enjoyed his very expressive facial movements.

Easy Fudge Recipe
Fire in a Bag
I was out looking for wood to burn in our fireplace, but all I could find at the particular store I was in were these fire logs. I didn't feel like running around to find real wood so I decided to give these logs a try.
You just light the arrows, and voila...
The wrapping burns off rather quickly and you have a perfect fire in the fire place (sorry no picture).

Think Spring
Last year I had a hard time dealing with the winter blues. It was more than just the cold, snowy, icy weather and being cooped up in the house with the kids all day long. It had also been one year since my Grammy passed away. This year I decided to get a head start on spring and surround myself with things that would help me dwell on happy and uplifting memories.
Next, I brought home a pot of fragrant hyacinths I bought at the grocery.
First, I got the spring pillows out of storage, changed the artwork above the fireplace and changed up the mantle display adding birds and flowers.

I also added a few new pictures I purchased at TJ Maax to give our main living are a new look.
