Annual Chuck E Cheese's Trip

For the last several years, we've rewarded the kids with a trip to Chuck E Cheese's after a good homeschool evaluation. This year was Nicholas's first time. He read Go Dog Go for Dr. Holinga and she could hardly keep from laughing. He really is funny when he reads. He adds sound effects and comments on the pictures and the situations.

Clara's Tap Recital

Here is Clara all ready for her tap recital. She had to pull her hair back into a pony tail and wear make-up (blush, mascara and lipstick). Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to video the actual performance. =(

The First One!

Nicholas lost his first tooth while Monica was teaching yesterday. Big sister Clara helped him save the tooth and got him tissue for the blood. He was quite excited to share the news with John as soon as he walked through the door and then with Monica when she finished teaching.

CSYO Junior Strings Season Finale

Tennessee - Day 3

Cumberland Caverns

We drove about 40 miles northwest of Chattenooga to the Cumberland Caverns. It turns out a lot of school classes chose today for their tours. We got to tag along for a discounted rate. It was very interesting. The caverns reminded us of the book The Princess and the Goblin by George MacDonald that we read a while back.
