Birthday Zoo Trip

Here are some pictures from our zoo trip. This was the first time Nicholas really understood what was going on. He was very excited all morning and couldn't wait to see the tiger. Luckily, the tiger was in rare form walking around right in front of the glass. We also found out that Nicholas is NOT a snake person. He just about freaked when a snake was slithering around right behind the glass and I encouraged him to get closer. "Don't pet it! Don't pet it!" he cried out.

Swimming Lessons

Here's Clara at her first lesson. She was a little hesitant at first, but turned out to be quite a little mermaid. In her words: "I want to do this for ever and ever."

Game Night

We had fun playing a round of LIFE yesterday. Clara enjoyed her first experience and Nicholas kept himself occupied with the cars and peg-people. We'll be trying this again soon.

Surprise TV Appearance

Monica was picking up an instrument display shelf not too far from Grammy's house. Since she was in the neighborhood she and the kids decided to stop by Grammy's to check on the garden. Upon arriving they realized that the group of realtors was coming TODAY (a fact Monica had heard/read a while back and didn't remember) to help spruce up Grammy's house. She certainly wasn't expecting a TV crew to be there conducting interviews or to be on the evening news. Yikes!
